The FS 4800 D 3-speed gearbox is one of the most powerful self-propelled flat saws in its range. It features a powerful 48 hp Yanmar diesel engine with electric start and is great for large jobs such as airports, highways, service work and other applications where production is a concern.
Located at the front of the saw, the gearbox shift lever is used to change output speed of the engine gearbox. Three speeds and two neutral positions are standard. Gearbox shift lever positions are color coded to match the blade diameter and bladeshaft rpm decal located on the control panel.

Patented power transmission transmits more power to the bladeshaft (42 HP) with optimum torque. The rear pivot model provides better maneuverability for patch work and service projects. Patented IntelliSeal bladeshaft system allows for a minimum of 500-hour service interval and eliminates daily greasing of bearings.
