A submersible trash pump that can run dry without damage! Hycon submersible trash pumps are vortex pumps. The impeller at the top creates a revolving mass of water which forms a vortex, leaving a cone of air in the center. This forces the water being pumped away from the impeller. Because there is very little contact between the water and impeller, wear is greatly reduced as compared to other types of pumps. Do not use it with trash or solids. The pump has a built-in fine dewatering strainer that screens out solids without diminishing pump performance, making it a favorite of many municipalities. The Hycon Pump is primarily made out of aluminum. It will pump saltwater, but you will need to rinse it with freshwater after use. Long exposure to saltwater will corrode this pump. Most pump manufactures recommend a freshwater flush after every use in saltwater.

This tool does not come with a powerpack, hydraulic hoses, or discharge hose. Hycon submersible pumps can be connected to any HYCON power pack with matching oil flow gpm requirements or other hydraulic power sources via the Hycon Oil Flow Divider.
